It is extremely difficult for a child to learn how to play different fingers at the same time.  For example:  playing your pinkie with your Left hand and your Thumb with your Right Hand is quite the challenge.  Here we have a student that just mastered using opposite fingers with a gusto.

What Instruments Will Your
Child Learn About?

At Children's Music Academy of Springfield, your child will be exposed to several different instruments during his/her time learning about music. The main instrument they will learn about will be the piano (or keyboard). Each and every lesson we will always refer back to the keyboard.Our young students do learn about other instruments as well. We learn a lot about percussion instruments as well as the guitar and more.

We encourage parent to view each class as their one on one musical date with their child.  How fun to be able to enjoy a special time with your child that you don't even have to plan!!!  Another side benefit is that you will learn music right along with your child - two for the price of one!!!
